Shirt number for Marc Roca potentially given away on Instagram

Leeds United fans have potentially learned what shirt number Marc Roca will wear following his switch to Elland Road – thanks to Junior Firpo’s Instagram post. Roca is one of five players to have joined the Whites this summer. He has arrived from Bayern Munich following a two-year spell with the Bundesliga champions. The hopes are high for Roca. He was brilliant with Espanyol, making more than 100 La Liga appearances for the club. And he was highly thought of with the Bavarian giants despite his lack of game-time. Certainly, plenty of fans will be planning to get the Spaniard’s name on the back of their shirts when the new kit is unveiled. And it seems that they now know what number will sit below his name. Junior Firpo has posted a couple of images from Thorp Arch on Instagram today. And one of those sees the left-back standing with Rodrigo, Roca and Jack Harrison. PHOTO: JUNIOR FIRPO LETS INTERESTING DETAIL ABOUT £10M LEEDS SIGNING SLIP ON INSTAGRAM

Last month, Leeds completed the £10m signing of Marc Roca as Jesse Marsch prepared for life without Kalvin Phillips. The 25-year-old arrived at Elland Road to a bit of fanfare, having just won the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich while also appearing in the Champions League. Well, it has been a while since Leeds fans last had a No.8 they could cherish. Now, however, the shirt has been dusted off and given to Roca, as shown in Firpo’s Instagram picture – which you can see below. 👀Junior Firpo confirming Marc Roca will wear the number 8 for Leeds United #lufc pic.twitter.com/Ki2qTVPHIy — Leeds All Over (@LeedsAllOver) July 6, 2022 Not since Vurnon Anita in 2018 have Leeds actually had a No.8 in their squad, which comes as something of a surprise given the significance of the number. Karamoko Dembele, The Celtic Wonderkid Who Played For the U20s At 13, Now Has A New Club

Dembele had been tipped for superstardom ever since 2016, when he turned out for the U20s despite being seven years below the age category. The winger was nowhere near the size of his adult teammates and images of him coming off the bench quickly went viral on social media. In the years that followed, everyone kept a keen eye on Dembele who was compared to Lionel Messi thanks to his size and ability on the ball. Few manage to live up to those expectations and Dembele sadly found opportunities tough to come by at senior level. He was fast tracked through the Celtic system and made his debut in May 2019 against Hearts. In the meantime, he turned out for Scotland and England at youth level. Injuries did not help and Dembele departs Celtic Park with just 10 first-team appearances and one goal. He does have a Scottish Premiership medal to his name after Ange Postecoglou's side reclaimed the title from bitter rivals Rangers last season. Now 19, Dembele is ready to take the next step in
